Participate in meaningful service experiences with Rotary

By Rotary Service and Engagement staff

As we celebrate Membership month, consider ways to cultivate or support effective service projects to empower communities locally or abroad. Below you will find ideas on how to ignite change and leave a legacy through meaningful service experiences that will transform lives:

Community Service

  • Empower your community by sponsoring a Rotary Community Corps, where residents and businesses come together to find innovative solutions for local priorities in partnership with Rotary clubs.
  • Work with your district community service chair to develop service projects that address needs in your region.

International Service

  • Collaborate with experts from a Rotary Action Group or lend your own skills to ensure that service efforts have a lasting impact.
  • Work with your district international service chair to find resources and local expertise to help you plan sustainable, successful projects and grants.

Collaboration with Rotary’s service partners

Engage with Rotary’s partners on service projects. Partners build upon your club’s strengths by providing access to networks that can introduce you to subject-matter experts and other resources to help pioneer sustainable positive change.

  • Ashoka is a global leader in long-term, sustainable systems change for social problems.
  • Habitat for Humanity works to create a more just and equitable world through economic development, disaster response, youth engagement, advocacy, and policy work related to climate change, housing, social justice, and energy.
  • Mediators Beyond Borders offers skills building for mediation and non-violent conflict resolution.
  • Peace Corps volunteers collaborate with communities and clubs on local priorities and peacebuilding.
