Fellow Rotarians,

It gives me great pleasure and honor to invite you to the first project fair to be hosted in Egypt, 1-2 December 2018 in the spectacular city of Cairo.

The region’s first project fair will bring together Rotarians from two African and one Middle Eastern district, along with many international partners from all over the world. It is expected that over 50 Middle Eastern – North African Rotary clubs will exhibit over 100 humanitarian projects proposals ranging sizes from small to large, aligning with Rotary’s six areas of focus that will ensure sustainability and be beneficial to our communities.

During the event, visiting Rotarians will learn more about the beneficiary communities and the projects that seek international partners to help bring change. Rotarians will personally meet project sponsors to establishing important partnerships, find projects to support as an international partner, as well as build long lasting friendships.

The fair will begin on 30 November at 19:00 with dinner and entertainment. The next day from 10:00 to 16:00, international visitors will learn more about our region with presentations and round tables discussions with local Rotary members. The Rotary Foundation Trustee- Chair, Ron Burton will also address attendees of the fair. That evening, visitors will have the opportunity to foster new friendships at the gala.

On 2 December from 8:30 to 15:00, local Rotarians will be exhibiting their projects to international visitors. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit various project booths and learn about local needs. There will also be optional tours to visit global grant project sites. The project fair will conclude that evening.

Our visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the great city of Cairo, thousands of tourists from all around the world arrive annually to visit these monuments, contributing greatly to the economy of the modern city.
