Since its founding in 2018, the Rotarian Metalhead Fellowship has always focused on inclusion. Every metal music enthusiast is welcome to join. Whether you are part of the family of Rotary or you simply love metal music but don’t yet have a Rotary connection, you’re welcome to join us and become part of an international community of metal music lovers. We have more than 200 members from all around the world who come together around our passion for metal music to share about favorite or new artists and songs, meet up at metal festivals and metal concerts, and do good in our communities.
One of our upcoming events will take place in August where we will have a booth at the Wacken Open Air event, one of the largest metal festivals in the world. If you have wanted to attend Wacken, please get in touch with us. Every Metalhead is welcome to join us at the event, and you can volunteer at our booth. Our booth will promote our global community and raise funds for our partnering non-profit Wacken Foundation, a music-related club-led project, and a KidsCamp, a 3-5 day camp organized by Rotaractors across Europe to allow kids whose parents can’t afford a vacation to get some time off from home. Wacken Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports hard rock and heavy metal music. Every artist and every band from the heavy metal scene around the world can receive support from the Wacken Foundation. For a lot of our members, going to metal concerts or metal festivals is a huge part of their DNA. While many of these events were cancelled over the past few years due to the pandemic, the Fellowship continued to support the metal music industry through the Wacken Foundation.
