As we reflect on the past year, learn how members around the world have embraced the spirit of the holidays to spread joy:
In April, the Rotaract Clubs of Alexandria Sunrise and Sunrise Elite in Egypt, along with the Interact Club of Sunrise, prepared 30 days of meals and delivered them daily to help families in need during month of Ramadan. Read more.In May, the Rotary Club of Dhaka Purbasha in Bangladesh and 30 other clubs from District 3281 organized a virtual international fellowship event on Zoom to celebrate Eid ul Fitr with over 100 Rotary members from Canada, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and the United States. Read more.In August, the Rotary Club of Polomolok 101 in the Philippines celebrated an early Christmas by bringing gifts and meals to children under the custody of the Municipal Social Welfare Center. Read more.In November, the Rotaract Club of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association’s M.L. Dahanukar College of Commerce in India distributed clothes and food to mothers and their children to help spread light and smiles in celebration of Diwali. Read more.In December, the Rotary Club of Prior Lake, Minnesota, United States worked with a local social service network to deliver meals, toiletries, and activity books for children to 50 families in need to help their community during the holiday season.
